Matilda
West End
- 2/1/2012 - West End - Cleo Demetriou (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Paul Kaye (Mr. Wormwood), Josie Walker (Mrs. Wormwood). (Highlights of Act 1 lasting approximately an hour. No close ups, sometimes camera shakes, or wanders to the top of the stage, some wanders at the bottom of the stage, not great focus, pretty sure that it was filmed on aisle seats, not really light effects filmed on balcony. The quality is fine and the sound is great.Grade: B+ watermarked.)

(Here is the final Broadway show with lots of energy from the cast and audience. Denise Wood gave a nice speech after the curtain call. A good capture overall; there are a few heads that can be seen at the bottom of the screen throughout, but they are worked around well and generally don’t block more than the actors’ feet. There are about three minutes of blackouts during Miracle, and a few other quick dropouts throughout the show. Telly is partially captured. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, speech, and playbill scans. A-) .VOB
